I just realised today (as I was buying another domain for a business project) that exactly two years ago, between November 10th and 11th 2006, mariusstuparu.com was propagating through DNS servers. So I went straight to my Analytics account, to extract some usage statistics for my site. Here goes: In the last two years, 4,751 people visited this site (3.655 being absolute unique), that generated 14,809 pageviews (averaging to 3.24 pages/visit). 917 of those people (20%) were returning visitors. (More interesting: 56 visitors returned for more than 200 times, while 269 returned for more than 10 times on average). Also, 64 visitors spent more than 30 minutes browsing through my thoughts, and 227 spent between 10 and 30 minutes here. There were 2,578 visitors from Romania, 1,096 from USA, all of the European countries, most of the American countries (Northern, Central and Southern), big parts of Asia and Australia, but there were also visitors from Africa. I was glad to see that almost 63% of my visitors (2,878) were using my favourite browser, Firefox, and only 31% used Internet Explorer (message for the 800+ IE 6 users: please, many please, pretty please, upgrade!). Funny thing: there were 2 visitors using iPhone, and one that used... Nintendo Wii (!) Unfortunately, this summer I did a major reconstruction of the site, that included page titles and page URLs, so the statistics for most viewed pages are quite messed-up and unusable. Sorry. Anyway, I want to give a BIG thanks to all those loyal visitors, a BIG welcome and come again to all of the new ones, and I promise to strive to improve continuosly this site, so that you'll find it even more interesting.
